Day 6. Newcastle on Clun to Knighton 13K

The first day walking with my little sis, a moderate 6 hour walk through ease her in. so lovely to spend time together, we didn’t argue too much because I had the best nights sleep at The quarry B&b nestled into the hills.

most delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, Debbsie I hope you’re jealous. The host and hostess are planning to walk part of the Camino in the fall.

We walked for 6 hours passing the highest pint on Offa’s Dyke at 403m. So lucky with the weather.

The B&b tm night is very eclectic with a charming hostess who comes and goes and so I welcomed the pilgrim special singer with chamomile tea, a ton ny octageneraon that dream be from yeomouth using a satnav!

Some pics from the day

View from where we started this morning.

All the cows.

The home highest pint with the trig market behind me at 403m

Some steep climbs.

All that fleece I could have collected for spinning

Now that a bridge crossing, my sis remarked that w crossed several bridges today and that we did, several sweet wooden ones over streams, metal ones over train tracks and rivers.

Yes!! A quote on the kitchen wall of the B&b we are staying tonight.

Dinner! We’re practically suited g in the fireplace , how many things mes do you think that we banged our heads on that beam?

Bedtime reading tonight.
Oh yes we are still counting stiles and kissinf gates, 8 and 4 for the day I think!
