It is 25 years ago since my parents walked the Offa’s Dyke, it was their first long distance walk. They went onto walk the Appalachian Trail and introduced me to the Camino in 2009, I walked the last 10 days with them, got hooked and started the Camino at the beginning in 2010. And so here we are 2018 and tomorrow I start walking the Offa’s Dyke trail (ODT).
My parents walked south to north and I’ll be walking north to south missing the beginning to be filled in next year perhaps. Three Ramsgate will be joining me along the way. The first is arriving today by train from Cambridge and my nephew and I are going to pick her up in Liverpool soon.
Here is an intro about the ODT from my parents journal.
And some snaps from English country gardens.
